ARKAOS' main business is based on real-time video effects generation for a wide range of targets, i.e. stage performance.
Challenge
To design a new generation of hardware and software to support the effects generation software from ARKAOS. Although the main program is based on a standard PC or MAC, rugged equipment with a specific user interface and professional level video inputs and outputs is mandatory.
Solution
The system consists of a custom console that houses a lot of boards, some in the video application field (I/Os), some in data processing (hardware effects and mixing) and some in the user interface application level as well as a PC motherboard and some standard PC peripherals.
Embedded software controls the different boards as well as the real-time operation of the console.
